The Black Feminist Collective at Yale University supports research, teaching, and community engagement in global Black feminism. A heterogenous tradition of intellectual, political, social, and artistic movement, Black feminism centers the perspectives and experiences of blackcisgender and transgender women to imagine and build a world free of violence and oppression. The BFC at Yale builds on this tradition by gathering faculty and students who work within it. We sponsor events, host a working group, and partner with other campus units to generate new work in Black feminist studies. The BFC is open to faculty, graduate students, undergraduates, administrators, staff, and community members.
